Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a decline of 12.37 points, or 0.12%, at the start of Tuesday's trading session, falling to 10,071 points. This downturn was influenced by negative performance in four specific sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the sectors that recorded declines included Banks and Financial Services, which dropped by 0.10%, Consumer Goods and Services, which saw a decrease of 0.17%, Insurance, which fell by 0.76%, and Telecoms, which experienced a decline of 1.02%. Conversely, other sectors showed positive trends with Industrials rising by 0.21%, Real Estate increasing by 0.16%, and Transportation edging up by 0.07%.

By 10:00 a.m., the Qatar Stock Exchange had documented 3,442 transactions amounting to QR 53.072 million. These transactions were dispersed across a total of 22.793 million shares.
