QSE Index Closes Higher by 16.250 Points

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a positive close on Wednesday, rising by 16.250 points, equivalent to a 0.15 percent increase, and ending the session at 10,713.350 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw a total of 187,036,396 shares being exchanged, with a cumulative value of QAR454,628,286.953. These transactions were spread across 25,156 dealings involving various sectors. Despite the overall gain in the index, the performance of individual companies varied.

Out of all listed companies, 17 saw an increase in their share prices, while 27 companies faced a decline. Meanwhile, 8 companies maintained their previous closing prices, indicating stability amid the fluctuations.

At the conclusion of the trading day, the market capitalization was recorded at QAR631,714,037,446.621. This marked a slight decrease compared to the previous session’s market capitalization of QAR631,809,272,240.600, despite the overall index rise.
