Doha, July 22 (QNA) – Within the collaborative framework of the state’s ministries and bodies, Qatar Statistics Authority (QSA) together with the Diplomatic Institute at the foreign affairs ministry have started drafting the 4th national report on Qatar’s Millennium Development Goals (MDG) 2012.
The report aims at introducing Qatar’s achievements within the framework of the Goals by the end of its time span in 2015.
This report follows the sustainable development report issued few weeks ago by the QSA and the Diplomatic Institute.
The goals focus on implementing the international community’s efforts to achieve huge improvements on people’s lives by 2015.
There have been indicators to measure each of these goals’ effects according to the developed countries standards.
The MDG combine each of Eradicating extreme poverty and hunger, Achieving universal primary education, Promoting gender equality and empower women, Reducing child mortality, Improving maternal health, Combating HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases, Ensuring environmental sustainability, and Developing a global partnership for development.
