Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), an affiliate of Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council (QRDI) initiated on Tuesday a research program concerned with environment and climate change (MoECC), in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
Extending until Nov. 14, the research program aims to counter environmental challenges in Qatar and bolster the efforts of combating climate change through the scientific research, development and innovation, the statement of QRDI read.
Executive Director of QNRF, Dr. Hisham Mohieldin Saber, underlined QRDI’s commitment to enhancing research and innovation excellence which fulfils the needs of Qatar and the world, adding that he hopes to get trailblazing research proposals that would provide tremendous contribution to environmental sustainability and combating climate change.
For his part, commissioner of the research office at MoECC Eng. Hussein Al Kubaisi said partnership between QRDI and MoECC is a critical step to move forward, adding that the partnership aims to spur innovation and research that would ultimately lead to more green future for Qatar and the world within the framework of the commitment to building a sustainable future.
