QRC Medical Team’s Mission in Yemen Extended

Sana’a, August 07 (QNA) – Secretary General of the Qatari Red Crescent (QRC) Saleh bin Ali Al Muhannadi, currently visiting Yemen, announced that the mission of the medical team who is currently in Sana’a has been extended in order to treat the wounded in the recent events in the country. In a press statement on Tuesday, Al Muhannadi said that his visit to Yemen is primarily aimed at assessing the first half of the first stage of the relief program, which is implemented by QRC through the Charitable Medical Society in Yemen and by the support of the State of Qatar.
He stressed Qatar’s Keenness to cooperate with Yemen, especially in the medical field, and expressed happiness to adopt this successful program, saying that he hope this project will continue and will not stop at a certain level.
QRC Secretary General added that until now the Qatari medical team carried out 140 surgical operations out of 300 cases in the first stage, which will be extend to two or three as needed, in addition to other cases who need Natural Therapy. (QNA)
