Doha: Qatar Central Bank (QCB) issued QR 2 billion in government bonds on behalf of the Ministry of Finance.
According to Qatar News Agency, the bonds were issued across different maturities. Specifically, QR 1 billion was issued as a tap issuance maturing on September 3, 2028, with a yield of 4.55%. Another QR 1 billion, also a tap issuance, will mature on August 24, 2030, with a yield of 4.70%.
QCB highlighted that the total bids received for this bond issuance reached QR 5 billion, indicating substantial interest from investors. The bonds are part of the government's strategy to manage liquidity and finance public projects.
