Doha: Qatar National Library (QNL) hosted some of Qatar’s leading digital content creators to discuss the pivotal role they play in safeguarding the nation’s memory and cultural heritage. Titled “The Role of Digital Content Creators in Preserving Qatar’s Memory,” the panel discussion examined how personal passions such as culinary arts, photography, and environmental advocacy are contributing to the country’s legacy.
According to Qatar News Agency, the event was moderated by Mohammed Al Saadi and featured chef Mohammed Lari, environmental researcher and photographer Hamad Al Khulaifi, and Mutaz Nivas, founder and director of Al Thuraya Media Platform. Each speaker shared insights into their creative journeys and the impact of their work on public understanding of Qatar’s heritage and values.
Maryam M Al Khalosi, Programs Specialist at Qatar National Library, emphasized the importance of engaging the community in preserving cultural heritage. “At Qatar National Library, we believe preserving and promoting our heritage is a collaborative effort. Digital content creators are uniquely positioned to document the present and inform future generations,” she said.
The event is part of QNL’s initiatives to foster public cultural engagement to advance its mission of preserving Qatar’s heritage.
