Qatar News Agency participated in the first edition of the Hajj Media Forum initiative organized by the Saudi Ministry of Information in the city of Mecca.
The forum aims to provide an integrated media environment to support journalists in accomplishing their reporting, enabling them to access information and details related to the Hajj season, and to review all the preparations and efforts made by the relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to ensure that pilgrims perform their Hajj rituals with ease and safety.
The forum brings together all sectors of the media system in one place to support the work of all journalists and media outlets. It offers modern technologies to achieve more innovation in local and international media coverage of the Hajj season, benefiting more than 150 Saudi, Arab, Islamic, and international media outlets, and over 1500 journalists from Saudi Arabia and abroad.
The forum includes several media areas set up over an area of 6,000 square meters at the Mecca Exhibition
and Convention Center. These include a conference platform, live broadcasting studios, a media community area, a media operations room, an area showcasing the Hajj journey, and a virtual media center (VPC). The forum is characterized by an environment rich in interactive technologies, reflecting the significant transformation in the services provided to pilgrims.
Additionally, the forum features an interactive media exhibition highlighting technical and technological services for pilgrims, as well as showcasing major projects and achievements dedicated to serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, and future projects in the holy sites.
