DOHA: The Ministry of Culture's Qatar Media Center (QMC) held a workshop on short filmmaking Monday evening, targeting individuals aged 12 to 22 years. The session aimed to equip young enthusiasts with essential skills in the art of filmmaking.

According to Qatar News Agency, the workshop was conducted by Fatima Al Mohannadi and covered key topics such as selecting appropriate film ideas corresponding to the film's duration, along with fundamental photography elements like camera angles, lighting, and sound. The session also emphasized the importance of timing in filming, ensuring it aligns with the film's concept.

The trainer further elaborated on essential filmmaking tools, including video editing techniques like cutting, text addition, and filter application. Participants learned about auxiliary programs, such as the CapCut library, to enhance video quality by adding music and sound effects. Practical exercises on filming high-quality content ready for broadcast were also part of the workshop.

Iman Al Kaabi, Director of the Qatar Media Center, highlighted the overwhelming registration response through the center's digital platforms, indicating the success of the center's training course selection. Al Kaabi stated that the workshop aligns with the Ministry of Culture's strategy to focus on youth, providing them with training and qualifications that support their educational and scientific endeavors.
