qJordan and Turkiye Address Regional Tensions and Palestinian Situation

Doha: Jordan and Turkiye have discussed regional developments, efforts to end escalating tensions, and the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories during a phone call between their foreign ministers.

According to Qatar News Agency, Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan emphasized the importance of maintaining a ceasefire between the United States and Iran. They advocated for the resumption of negotiations and the attainment of a comprehensive solution that addresses the causes of tension and ensures freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with international law.

Both ministers expressed concern over the dangerous Israeli escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories and unlawful Israeli measures in the occupied West Bank. They stated that such actions undermine prospects for achieving a just and lasting peace.
