Riyadh: Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has issued a directive to all banks operating within the State of Qatar, urging them to collaborate with the Qatar Development Bank (QDB) on its program dedicated to supporting specific sectors. This initiative is designed to offer liquidity and working capital financing to these sectors, aligning with the mechanisms outlined by QDB.
According to Qatar News Agency, the directive was announced through a post on QCB's X platform, previously known as Twitter. The bank emphasized that this cooperation should not conflict with the individual credit policies of banks or QCB's existing instructions. Instead, it is intended to bolster the national economy, ensure the stability of the private sector, and enhance the overall business environment.
Qatar Central Bank further elaborated that these directives are part of its broader strategy to implement impactful initiatives. These measures aim to fortify the national economy, maintain the stability and growth of the private sector, and enhance Qatar's ability to navigate regional and global economic challenges.
