Doha: HE Governor of the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani met with HE Governor of the People's Bank of China Pan Gongsheng, on the sidelines of the 96th Annual Meeting of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), held in Basel, Switzerland, on June 27-28, 2026.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on key aspects of bilateral relations between Qatar and China in the banking and finance sectors. Discussions highlighted ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries' central banks, exploring potential areas for collaboration and development in the financial arena.
