Doha: Qatari newspapers highlighted two main topics in their Wednesday editorials. Among them was the telephone conversation held on Tuesday between HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi. Al-Sharq newspaper stated that the phone call made on Tuesday by HH the Amir to HE Indian Prime Minister, in which he expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy for the victims of the explosion that occurred in an industrial facility in Ras Laffan that resulted in the death and injury of a number of Indian citizens, and His Highness's wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured, reflects Qatar's great concern for its residents from all brotherly and friendly countries.
The newspaper noted that the competent authorities in the State of Qatar demonstrated high capability in handling the incident and its aftermath.
