Qatar’s Diplomatic Efforts and Security Achievements Lauded

Doha: Al-Watan newspaper has praised Qatar’s diplomatic success in mediating numerous regional crises over recent years. These efforts have not only focused on Arab affairs but have also extended to conflicts in Africa and Asia. Qatar’s ability to mediate effectively is attributed to its diplomatic prowess and its reputation as an honest and impartial mediator, aimed at fostering international security and peace.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Watan highlighted that Qatar’s mediation efforts are rooted in its national principles of justice and fairness, forming the cornerstone of its foreign policy. The newspaper noted that Article 7 of Qatar’s Constitution emphasizes integrating conflict resolution and peace-building into its foreign strategy, transforming disputes into opportunities for dialogue and understanding.

Under the headline ‘Glimmer of Hope,’ The Peninsula newspaper reported that ceasefire talks regarding the 15-month-long genocide in the Gaza Strip have reached their final stages. Qatar, alongside Egypt and the United States, has worked tirelessly to resolve the conflict, which has resulted in significant civilian casualties and displacement. The Peninsula stressed the ongoing challenges, noting that Israeli occupation forces continue to bomb Palestinian territories, complicating the path to ceasefire implementation.

The Peninsula further acknowledged Qatar’s consistent support for the Palestinian people through humanitarian aid, including providing care for families arriving in Doha. The newspaper underscored Qatar’s commitment to peaceful resolutions and protecting innocent lives.

On the domestic front, Al-Raya newspaper commended Qatar for its high rankings in peace, security, and safety indicators, attributing this to the efforts of the Ministry of Interior. The paper reported that the Minister of Interior, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, recently honored security officials for their contributions to national stability with the Prince Nayef Medal for Police and Internal Security.

Al-Raya emphasized that Qatar prioritizes human dignity and security, as it embarks on a comprehensive renaissance and strategic expansion. The newspaper concluded by stating Qatar’s status as the safest country in the Middle East and North Africa since 2008, and among the world’s 25 safest countries, with the Ministry of Interior continuously enhancing its security measures through proactive strategies.
