Qatar: Qatar's Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman) has joined a national campaign aimed at promoting digital safety and protecting children and families from online risks. The campaign, organized by the Ministry of Social Development and Family, brings together 20 national organizations to raise awareness of safe and responsible technology use.

According to Qatar News Agency, Aman stated that its participation will focus on preventing technology-related extortion and helping children, young people, and families recognize and respond to unsafe online behavior. The center plans to publish a series of awareness messages and short videos on its social media platforms. These will cover topics such as privacy and personal data protection, safe sharing of images and information, suspicious links and online content, and how to respond to digital extortion. Additionally, Aman will conduct awareness workshops in schools and kindergartens.

Aman's Acting Executive Director, Fadl Mohammed Al Kaabi, emphasized that protecting children and young people in the digital environment has become an essential part of social protection. He highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts by families, institutions, and the wider community.

Hanan Al Ali, the center's Director of the Media and Communications Office, mentioned that the campaign would combine digital communication with direct awareness activities, such as age-appropriate workshops for students. She noted that the initiative aims to empower children to protect themselves, enable families to support them, and help the wider community recognize when and how to seek help when facing online threats.
