Doha, August 07 (QNA) – In their editorials on Wednesday, Qatari newspapers highlighted the intensive efforts that the State of Qatar is undertaking to defuse tensions and ensure security and stability in the region, noting in this context the discussions held by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the United States of America Joe Biden, which focused on the developments in Gaza.
The newspapers also highlighted the call received by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani from HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Dr. Ayman Al Safadi.
Al-Sharq newspaper said in its editorial that the State of Qatar is leading intensive political and diplomatic efforts to defuse tensions, ensure security and stability in the region, and achieve an immediate ceasefire, while emphasizing the need for sustained humanitarian aid access to the Gaza Strip.

It also pointed out that the call received by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani from HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Dr. Ayman Al Safadi focused on enhancing joint efforts between the two countries to halt the war and address the humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip.
The editorial concluded by noting that the primary focus of the State of Qatar and its diplomacy is on de-escalation and calming tensions, especially at a time when the entire region stands at a crossroads, adding that Qatar understands that the path to easing tensions and halting dangerous es
calation begins with Gaza and Palestine.
Meanwhile, Al-Arab newspaper said in its editorial that Qatari diplomatic efforts play a crucial role in addressing various current issues, including the ongoing serious developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The editorial highlighted the recent phone call received by HH the Amir from US President Joe Biden, which focused on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as joint mediation efforts to end the war on the Gaza Strip.
