Doha: In their editorials on Monday, Qatari newspapers highlighted the celebration of World Teachers’ Day, organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) under the theme “Generosity Yields Generations.” The newspapers pointed out that HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani attended the World Teachers’ Day celebration on Sunday, where he honored 27 teachers in recognition of their efforts and dedication to their work and commitment to preparing future generations during their extensive careers spanning over twenty years.
In its editorial, Al-Raya said that honoring teachers is a duty for Qatar, which has never forgotten their contributions, noting that the country has provided them with care, support, training, and recognition, as they have always been a cornerstone in the development of education.
The newspaper added that preparing generations and equipping them with knowledge and good upbringing is not solely the responsibi
lity of families but also of schools. Through this noble humanitarian gesture, Qatar emphasizes the importance of teachers as essential components of the educational system, it added.
