Doha: Qatari newspapers highlighted in their editorials on Wednewsday HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s keenness on strengthening relations and building bridges of constructive cooperation with various countries around the world. This is part of the wise leadership’s efforts to enhance Qatar’s global standing and diversify the country’s alliances in its pursuit of entering global markets. In this context, the current tour by His Highness to the Kingdom of Sweden, the Kingdom of Norway, and the Republic of Finland is significant.

The newspapers also commended the talks HH the Amir held with by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of the Kingdom of Sweden, HE Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, and HE Speaker of the Parliament of Sweden (Riksdag) Andreas Norlen, during which a number of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were signed to enhance cooperation between the two countries.

In its editorial, Al-Arab daily noted that Qatari relations with the Kingdom of Sweden are advancing towards broader h
orizons in all fields, supported by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s visit to Sweden.

The newspaper underlined the State of Qatar’s aspiration to invest in its distinguished relations with Sweden to establish the foundations of a constructive and mutual partnership that meets the ambitions of both countries, especially in economic and investment fields. It said that His Highness’s visit to Sweden witnessed the signing of several MoUs to enhance cooperation between the two countries, which have enjoyed 50 years of bilateral relations.

Al-Arab concluded by saying that during his visit to Stockholm, His Highness discussed ways to develop trade and economic relations and enhance cooperation between Doha and Stockholm, for the benefit of both countries, noting that Qatar and Sweden look forward to investing in their distinguished relations to establish the foundations of a constructive and mutual partnership that meets their aspirations.

For its part, Al-Sharq newspaper said that after the successf
ul visit to Stockholm and the talks held by HH the Amir with His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, HE Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, and HE Speaker of the Parliament of Sweden Andreas Norlen, along with the signing of several memorandums of understanding to enhance cooperation between the two countries, which have enjoyed 50 years of bilateral relations, His Highness has established a solid foundation for a constructive partnership between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Sweden, meeting the aspirations of both countries.

The paper emphasized that HH’s visit to Stockholm has elevated the distinguished relations between the two countries to a new phase, which is also expected to happen with the friendly Kingdom of Norway. His Highness arrived in Norway after his visit to Sweden, as part of his official tour in Northern Europe. The visit to Oslo, which is the first of its kind, reflects Qatar’s commitment to strengthening its international partnerships and expanding its cooperation with fri
endly nations. It also marks an important step in expanding the political and economic relations of the State.

In conclusion, Al-Sharq said that based on the values shared by both countries, the outcomes of His Highness’s visit to Oslo will have significant result for joint efforts towards peace and the enhancement of regional and international stability, and will move the long-standing bilateral relations towards a fruitful partnership for the benefit of both countries and their friendly peoples.
