For its part, Al-Watan newspaper, in its editorial today under the title "A Firm Position", dealt with HH the Amirs assertions during his visit to Germany on the importance of making efforts to reduce the escalation and spare civilians the consequences of the fighting, opening safe corridors in Gaza for relief and humanitarian efforts, and ensuring that violence does not expand regionally.
The newspaper highlighted the importance of His Highnesss official visit to Berlin, as it comes in light of the major turning points and events the region is witnessing, that will undoubtedly affect the global economic reality, which suffers from weakness and decline in growth rates, and unprecedented inflation, accompanied by a continuous rise in interest rates, and other developments.
Al-Watan concluded by saying that there is no doubt that this visit will enhance the opportunities for bilateral partnership, and will open broad doors and horizons for further cooperation in various commercial and economic fields, given that Berlin is one of the largest trade partners of the State of Qatar, which will be positively reflected on the business sectors of the two countries, which are linked to a number of economic agreements and memorandums of understanding.
For its part, the English-language newspaper The Peninsula warned in its editorial today entitled " Destruction of schools unforgivable" against the occupation forces continuing their violent attacks on the Gaza Strip and their dire effects on the humanitarian situation there in light of the stifling and comprehensive Israeli siege on the Strip.
The newspaper said that the Israeli occupation forces continue to imposing a full siege on Gaza depriving the people of water, electricity, and medical supplies. They have closed checkpoints and entrances to cities, towns, and villages and obstructed the movement of Palestinian citizens over all the occupied territories.
The Peninsula pointed out that since the Israeli airstrikes and bombardments of Gaza four schools belonged to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) have been destroyed, around 300,000 Gazans have been displaced, and a vast majority of them are now in 64 UNRWA schools and shelters, but some of these schools have been hit directly.
The newspaper stressed that Qatar leads a global campaign to protect education during conflicts, and this goal is among the most critical of the global SDG 2030. Education is the primary path towards a stable and more just world; and strengthening it is the basis for development and stability.
Under the title "Swords drawn against the law," Al-Arab newspaper considered in its editorial today that the aggressive raids that have struck and are still hitting throughout the besieged Gaza Strip are an extension of the widespread Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, including the crime of settlement, siege, incursions, raids, arrests, displacement, home demolitions, and other violations of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and international humanitarian law. .
Al-Arab stressed that the Israeli entity's threats to continue the war of genocide and destruction that it is waging against the people of Gaza require world leaders to deal with such criminal calls seriously.
