Qatari daily Al-Sharq said that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s speech at the opening of the 3rd Asian Cooperation Dialogue Summit reflected His Highness’s keenness on cooperation and interconnection with the Asian countries, acknowledging important position that the Asian continent occupies at the global level with its enormous human resources and influential economic and political weight.
HH the Amir’s speech highlighted the importance of intensifying efforts to contain escalation and tension and stop the bloodshed in the region and the world, amid the dangerous escalation in the war of genocide waged by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, and its military operations against Lebanon which has claimed the lives of hundreds of innocent civilians and displaced more than a million, the paper added.
Al-Arab newspaper said that HH the Amir’s speech at the opening of the 3rd Asian Cooperation Dialogue Summit reflected Qatar’s firm and deep commitment to promoting global peace an
d regional stability.
HH the Amir’s speech included important messages in light of the challenges and conflicts currently taking place in the region and the world, most notably the need to prevail wisdom and bear joint responsibility to maintain stability and cooperation between countries, away from violence and escalation that only generates more destruction, in addition to the importance of respecting the sovereignty of countries and not interfering in their internal affairs, the paper added.
English newspaper, The Peninsula, said the ongoing vicious war against innocent civilians is a genocide and a failure of the international community to break the deadlock and stop the aggression against Gaza.
It is high time they stepped in and restored the credibility of the international institutions by taking decisive action to protect the Palestinian people by stopping the ongoing crimes against them and applied international law fairly and without bias, the paper stressed.
The Peninsula noted that HH the Amir,
reasserting Qatars stand of rejecting and condemning the aerial strikes and escalating military operations unleashed by the Israeli occupation forces against Lebanon, said in his speech at the opening of the 3rd Asian Cooperation Dialogue Summit that “Israel is exploiting the international failure to implement the occupation plans to expand settlements in the West Bank in preparation for annexing it, or at least annexing parts of it. Its rulers also believe that they can avail themselves of this opportunity to implement its schemes in Lebanon.”
