English newspaper, The Peninsula, underlined that Qatar’s ambitious plans to promote countrys tourism sector with concrete strategies are succeeding as the country is becoming a destination of choice for visitors from the region and beyond.
In its editorial entitled “Captivating Travel Destination,” The Peninsula said that Qatar has established itself as one of the worlds most captivating travel destinations offering a unique blend of rich Arabian heritage and modern amenities that have enchanted visitors for years.
The largest component in Qatars travel and tourism sector is the hotels market, with a projected market volume of QR1,919.524 million in 2024, the paper noted.
Qatars national carrier, Qatar Airways, also plays a pivotal role in this growth, connecting Doha to over 177 key business and leisure destinations across six continents. Qatar has also emerged as a premier cruise destination, the paper said.
On the other hand, Al-Watan warned against the Israeli entity’s insistence on implementing the
security belt plan on the border with Lebanon, and creating a new political and security reality there.
All eyes are on the United States and other countries, after talk of an initiative calling for a ceasefire for a specific period, through which a wider conflict could be avoided. However, this is possible only if the United States exerts real pressure on Israel to force it to accept a ceasefire quickly, the paper said.
