Al-Raya newspaper said in its editorial titled “Qatar and Sweden: New Horizons for Bilateral Cooperation” that the official visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the friendly Kingdom of Sweden marks an important step in the course of relations between the two countries and in enhancing their broad prospects. It is also an important opportunity to deepen and strengthen the relations between the two countries, especially as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between them.

The newspaper referred to Qatar’s commitment to pursuing a policy of openness, cooperation, and friendship with various brotherly and friendly nations. It highlighted the strong friendship between Qatar and Sweden, which has seen continuous growth in various fields since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Al-Raya concluded by emphasizing that His Highness’s visit represents a significant boost to Qatar’s foreign relations, serving the interes
ts, goals and aspirations of both nations and their friendly peoples. It also presents a valuable opportunity to activate frameworks for joint cooperation and explore new horizons with the Nordic countries, building on the great trust that Qatar enjoys and its prominent role on the regional and international stages.

On local affairs, under the title “New Strategy to Keep Pace with Future,” Al-Arab newspaper said in its editorial that the new 2024-2030 strategy launched by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar outlines a new phase in the educational landscape the integration of digital learning tools at all levels of education in the country.

It noted that the new strategy will contribute to enhancing the standing of Qatari education both regionally and internationally, and will keep pace with the rapid changes of the present and future.

The newspaper highlighted key points of the strategy, which focus on encouraging families to enroll their children in kindergarten at the age of three, in
corporating learning through play, and expanding the establishment of nurseries. The strategy also supports the strengthening of digital learning, which has become an essential part of the educational system in many developed countries.

Al-Arab concluded its editorial by affirming that this approach represents a successful investment in the significant boom the country is experiencing, particularly through the attraction of prestigious international universities and the provision of higher education that meets global standards.

For its part, The Peninsula newspaper noted in its editorial today the launch of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s 2024-2030 strategy, under the slogan “Igniting the Spark of Learning.” which aligns with the aspirations of the Third National Development Strategy (NDS3) and Qatar National Vision 2030.

In its editorial titled “Materializing the Vision,” the newspaper stated that the strategy focuses on enhancing the attractiveness and quality of higher education for Qat
aris, building a better-educated and highly motivated talent pool by emphasizing the teachers role, developing the teaching profession, improving the academic supervision models in public and private schools, and updating curricula.

The strategy is comprehensive, addressing all stages of learning, from pre-primary to post-secondary and continuing education, it added.

The Peninsula concluded by saying that the Ministrys 2024-2030 strategy aims to advance Qatars education sector by providing high-quality education, ensuring equal opportunities, continuously developing teachers skills, and fostering an educational environment aligned with the latest pedagogical practices. It also seeks to realize the Ministrys vision of preparing empowered learners who contribute to sustainable development.
