For its part, al-Raya daily said that as the world celebrates World Humanitarian Day, under the slogan Act for Humanity, the State of Qatar has established its position as one of the countries that significantly provides humanitarian, relief and development aid worldwide, as Qatari charity has reached more than 100 countries around the five continents. Wherever there are disasters, wars and international crises, Qatari charitable work has been present to alleviate the suffering of the afflicted peoples and communities.

The State of Qatar has presented global humanitarian initiatives in support of vital sectors around the world, such as the right to education, health, development projects and economic empowerment, in addition to its efforts to localize peace, security and development in the East of the world, where it has established the principle of solidarity and international multilateral action as an authentic principle in its foreign policy. The State of Qatar believes that confronting many thorny issues
and international dilemmas requires standing together to support the steadfastness of countries and societies, and it has spared no effort in supporting United Nations funds and international organizations directed to fragile and most needy countries and societies, the paper added.

Al-Raya concluded by noting the State of Qatars moral responsibility towards friendly countries, as Qatar is one of the largest supporter countries for the least developed countries, becoming the focus of the worlds attention for its pioneering initiatives aimed at spreading goodness, peace and love. Indeed, it remains a pioneer in providing humanity with creative initiatives that contribute to global development.

Locally, English newspaper, The Peninsula, highlighted efforts of the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) to promote a culture of energy preservation and the use of renewable clean energy, as Kahramaa, along other state entities, is implementing various plans under Qatar National Vision 2030 to en
sure sustainability.

In its editorial titled “Sustainable Policies”, the paper said that Kahramaa has launched a new service called BeSolar to install distributed solar energy systems. This initiative is in line with the goals of Qatar National Renewable Energy Strategy. Consequently, a distributed solar energy policy and a net billing program have been developed to encourage customers to install solar energy systems in their homes, farms, factories and all properties.

This year Kahramaa launched Qatar National Renewable Energy Strategy (QNRES), having coordinated with 22 key energy actors in Qatar, a step that reflects the efforts of Kahramaa to enhance its work in the field of renewable energy uses and to develop policies and strategies related thereto, believing in a more sustainable future for Qatar to achieve Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Third Qatar National Development Strategy 2024-2030, the paper added.

QNRES aims to increase and diversify the utilization of renewable energy sources, specific
ally solar energy in Qatar, and integrate them into the energy mix, considering the high-quality solar energy resources in the country, The Peninsula concluded.
