Qatari Humanitarian Aid Plane Lands in Damascus for First Time

DAMASCUS: A Qatari airplane loaded with humanitarian aid, including ambulances, food supplies, and medicines, arrived at Damascus International Airport today. The delivery, organized by the Qatar Fund for Development, also included technical assistance aimed at facilitating the re-operation of the airport to ensure a steady flow of aid into Syria.

According to Qatar News Agency, this marks the inaugural landing of a Qatari aid plane in Damascus as part of an air bridge initiative designed to support the Syrian Arab Republic. The effort underscores Qatar’s commitment to alleviating humanitarian conditions faced by the Syrian people.

Her Excellency Minister of State for International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad emphasized Qatar’s dedication to supporting Syria across various sectors, particularly in humanitarian and developmental areas. In a statement to Qatar News Agency, she expressed hopes that the aid plane’s arrival would expedite aid distribution to affected sectors, confirming Qatar’s ongoing contributions through multiple channels.
