The visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to Kyrgyzstan, the second stop of His Highness’s tour to Central Asian countries, receives an extremely media significance since HH the Amir is a first Arab ruler to visit Kyrgyz Republic, considering the significance of this visit in moving bilateral relations between the two countries to a new phase of cooperation in all fields.
The visit of HH the Amir to Kyrgyzstan comes within a tour to several Central Asian countries beginning with Uzbekistan and now Kyrgyzstan and passing through Kazakhstan with the Tajikistan as the final station to highlight the State of Qatar’s openness to the region and its interest in bolstering ties and strengthening cooperation with the region’s countries within a strategy that has been receiving wide follow-up and attention from regional and international media.
In this framework, HE Director-General of Qatar News Agency Ahmed bin Saeed Al Rumaihi stressed the critical importance of the visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to Kyrgyzstan within his tour to Central Asia, and within the framework of the wise policy of His Highness in promoting bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and various countries of the world and opening new fields of cooperation for the benefit of the State of Qatar.
Speaking to QNA, His Excellency said the visit of HH the Amir to Kyrgyzstan as a first Arab ruler to visit Kyrgyz Republic has numerous indications, the most prominent of which is His Highness’s keenness to the State of Qatar’s openness to its region to open a constant and direct communication with Central Asian leaders, especially that the region has been receiving a great significance globally because of the promising opportunities it offers in economy, trade and investment areas.
His Excellency pointed to the agreement that was signed between QNA and Kyrgyz National News Agency (Kabar) on Oct.15, 2014, which aims to exchange news and photos, in addition to exchanging visits and training new editors, underscoring Qatar News Agency’s keenness to boost cooperation with its Kyrgyz counterpart, as the visit of HH the Amir to Bishkek will give a strong impetus to promote media cooperation between the two countries which is vital and constructive cooperation to promote distinguished bilateral relations and give them a greater media momentum.
He asserted the QNA’s readiness to afford all kinds of support to Kyrgyz National News Agency and cooperate with it, not only in sharing news, but also in training and development areas, specially at the digital media where QNA acquires vital expertise.
HE Director-General of QNA outlined that the cooperation comes in the context of HH the Amir’s keenness to consolidate cooperation ties with Kyrgyz Republic in various fields, including media field, as His Highness is committed to providing the opportunity to all entities in sisterly and friendly countries to capitalize on the wide expertise the country has in all sectors.
HE Director-General of QNA concluded his statements by reaffirming the importance of HH the Amir’s visit to Kyrgyzstan and the great media interest the two countries have, because of opportunities and the promising future that await the two countries stemming from the fruitful outcomes, in addition to a series of agreements and memoranda of understanding that are poised to be signed in multiple sectors.
