Qatari Aid Reaches Iran’s Earthquake Victims

Doha, August 15 (QNA) – Based on higher directives, the Search and Rescue team from the Internal Security Forces Lekhwiya headed today to the Iranian city of Tabriz carrying the first batch of Qatari aid through the aerial transfer bridge built by the State of Qatar, in assistance of the victims of the recent earthquake which hit the northwest. The Qatari team has begun its mission from the Tabriz International Airport which is the nearest to the affected area, distributing the batch which includes 55 tonnes of food supplies, milk, children’s clothing, 4 tonnes of medicine, in addition to tents and electricity generators.
It also provides the area’s hospitals with medicine, plus engaging in search and rescue operations. (QNA)
