Doha: The State of Qatar has announced the launch of the Lake Lucerne Summit and the inaugural meeting of a high-level committee comprising representatives from the United States, Iran, Qatar, and Pakistan. This initiative aims to facilitate discussions that could lead to a comprehensive and enduring agreement, addressing various issues outlined in the memorandum of understanding.

According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari, Adviser to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that specialized technical and expert working groups have been established to negotiate the terms of a final agreement. These groups are tasked with covering all aspects of the memorandum of understanding. Additionally, follow-up groups have been formed to oversee the implementation of the memorandum and monitor progress towards a final agreement. This reflects the commitment of all parties involved to advance the negotiation process in good faith and achieve a comprehensive and lasting agreement.

Dr. Al Ansari emphasized that Qatar, as one of the mediating states, will continue collaborating with Pakistan and all relevant parties to create a conducive environment for successful negotiations. He reiterated Qatar's belief in dialogue and diplomacy as the most effective means for conflict resolution and dispute settlement.

The Adviser also acknowledged the significant role played by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan as a partner and mediator in the process, commending its cooperation and efforts in supporting the negotiations. Dr. Al Ansari expressed appreciation for the commitment of the United States and Iran to pursuing diplomatic solutions. He also recognized the support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Turkiye, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates, along with other allied nations, in fostering favorable conditions for the negotiation process.

Dr. Al Ansari reaffirmed Qatar's full support for all efforts aimed at ensuring the success of the negotiations and reaching a final agreement that would bolster lasting peace, security, stability, and prosperity in the region.
