Qatar University (QU) welcomed the return of its students and faculty members to its campus with the start of the new academic year, which started yesterday, 21st of this month.

The University emphasized to all of its personnel the importance of following health and safety standards while on campus in the interest of everyone’s health and safety. Among them are the following protocols: verifying that the EHTARAZ barcode is green; adhering to the wearing of masks in the proper manner, especially in classrooms, laboratories, and enclosed spaces; ensuring that hands are frequently and correctly washed with soap and water and used sanitizers during working hours; and observing social distance in lecture halls, laboratories, outlets and vending machines, public places, and waiting areas. It is also forbidden to sit closely in these settings.

While the university emphasized to its students the need to stay away from areas of heavy traffic on internal roads and to cross at pedestrian crossings and to avoid direct sunlight and drink plenty of water.
