لإo Bolster Cooperation in the Field of Education and Research
Qatar University (QU) and the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to leverage shared opportunities and enhance cooperation between the two institutions.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Mariam Ali Al-Maadeed, Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies at QU, and Dr. Ramani Ramchandran, Professor of Pediatrics and Chairman of the Teaching Faculty at MCW. The MoU outlines the work in the fields of exchange of experiences and exchange of information, including publications, journals, studies, statistics, and data, in addition to organizing studies, conferences, meetings, and training.
In a brief statement, Prof. Mariam Al-Maadeed said, “I am pleased to sign an agreement on behalf of Qatar University with the Medical College of Wisconsin. The University is committed to developing international cooperation in all fields, especially in research priority areas of Qatar University.”
“Qatar University values local and international experts in health education and scientific research fields, and through cooperation with the Medical College of Wisconsin, which combines high-level medical education, research, and healthcare practices for patients, we aim to enhance and continue cooperation in various fields, including infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases, personalized medicine, and cancer. We hope that this effort will benefit students, researchers, and faculty members at both institutions.” Dr. Al-Maadeed added.
The MoU is expected to have a significant impact on medical education and research in Qatar and the region and reflects the ongoing efforts of both institutions to promote innovation and advancement in this field.
