Doha: Qatar Tourism (QT) in partnership with Forbes Travel Guide has successfully delivered the second edition of its hospitality leadership training programme. The session welcomed 241 participants from across Qatar's hospitality sector, as stated in a press release by QT today.
According to Qatar News Agency, the training is part of a series of quarterly sessions scheduled to take place through 2026, following the inaugural session held in June. Director of Operations Affairs at Qatar Tourism, Omar Abdulrahman Al Jaber, highlighted the significance of the programme: "Through our continued collaboration with Forbes Travel Guide, we are working to strengthen the capabilities of hospitality leaders and enhance efficiency and excellence in service delivery, directly contributing to the quality of the experience for both guests and visitors. This programme forms part of our ongoing efforts to advance Qatar's hospitality sector and strengthen standards of service and excellence, helping to build a more competitive and sustainable industry while enhancing the overall experience for visitors and the local community."
Executive Trainer at Forbes Travel Guide, Daniel Polderdijk, remarked on the enthusiasm of participants: "What stands out in these sessions is the willingness of participants to examine every aspect of the guest experience - with the goal of translating principles of service into meaningful moments for visitors and guests."
The programme stems from a strategic engagement signed between Qatar Tourism and Forbes Travel Guide at World Travel Market London 2025. This collaboration covers various aspects such as hotel assessments, service excellence training, standards alignment, international marketing collaboration, and long-term hospitality development initiatives.
