Qatar Strengthens Partnership with UNHCR to Support Global Refugee Efforts

DOHA: The State of Qatar has entered into a new agreement with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to enhance collaboration in support of the Commission's initiatives both in Doha and globally. This agreement represents a significant step in fostering cooperation between the two entities, aiming to advance their mutual goals in humanitarian and developmental fields.

According to Qatar News Agency, the agreement was signed by Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Hammadi, Acting Assistant Director of the International Organizations Department at Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and by HE Ahmed Lotfi Mohsen, the UNHCR's Representative to Qatar. The agreement is set to strengthen the existing partnership, contributing to various development initiatives and furthering efforts aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The collaboration between Qatar and the UNHCR marks a commitment to bolstering global refugee support systems.
