Qatar Stock Exchange Index Rises 0.84% at Beginning of Sunday’s Trading

Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index rose at the beginning of Sundays trading by 86.43 points, or 0.84%, to reach the level of 10,324.07 points, compared to the closing of last week’s trading.

Qatar Stock Exchange figures attributed the rise in the general index to the improved performance of six sectors, led by the industrial sector, which rose by 1.59%, real estate by 0.91%, banks and financial services by 0.50%, transportation by 0.49%, communications by 0.21%, and finally the consumer goods and services sector by 0.02%. On the other hand, the insurance sector recorded a decline of 0.59%.

At 10:00 a.m, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded trades worth QR 133,103,776.197, distributed among 60,609,111 shares, with a total of 3,827 transactions.
