Qatar Stock Exchange Index Loses 5 Points at Beginning of Thursday’s Trading

Qatar Stock Exchange began its trading Thursday, with a slight decline, as the general index decreased by 0.05% to lose 5.20 points and drop to the level of 10354, compared to Wednesday’s trading, under pressure from the bank and the industrial sectors.

Qatar Stock Exchange figures attributed the decline in the index to the negative performance of the bank and financial services sector by 0.51%, the industrial sector by 0.35% and the insurance sector by 0.30%. On the other hand, the performance of the transportation sector increased by 1.71%, the communications sector by 1.31%, the consumer goods and services sector by 0.65% and the real estate sector by 0.44%.

At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded transactions worth QR 63.785 million, distributed among 29.098 million shares, with the implementation of 2150 transactions. (QNA)
