Doha: The Qatar Sports for All Federation, under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, has launched its weekly school tours to boys' and girls' schools to align with the start of the academic year. This initiative aims to promote student participation in sports and physical activities, while also identifying and nurturing young talent.
According to Qatar News Agency, the tours included activities at Ahmed Mansour Primary School for Boys, engaging 90 students in self-defense training and various physical exercises. At Al Khor Primary School, 307 female students participated in assorted sports activities and exercises, promoting active involvement in physical education.
Muaither Secondary School for Girls also participated in the initiative, where approximately 226 students engaged in a series of exercises under the supervision of specialized female coaches. The program aims to encourage physical activity and discover the students' abilities and talents.
Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, Abdullah Al Dosari, highlighted the significance of these school visits as part of the federation's strategy to foster a sports culture in the community. Al Dosari emphasized the importance of instilling the practice of physical activity from an early age, noting that the federation's programs are designed to reach people of diverse ages and backgrounds.
He reiterated that the federation remains committed to implementing its plans and programs in alignment with the Ministry of Sports and Youth's objectives to promote a culture of sports and physical activity within the community.
