Doha: The Qatar Society of Engineers has officially launched the Qatar Academy for Engineering Training. This strategic initiative aims to enhance the professional development of national engineering talents and prepare them to meet the evolving demands of the field.

According to Qatar News Agency, the establishment of the academy is a significant element of the Qatar Society of Engineers' vision to craft an integrated system for professional training and qualification. The academy is set to offer high-quality programs that aim to develop the engineering, technical, and managerial skills of both male and female engineers, aligning with the rapid advancements in various engineering sectors and supporting the Qatar National Vision 2030.

Chairperson of the Qatar Society of Engineers, Eng. Amna Mohammed Al Naama, emphasized that the launch of the academy is a key milestone in their efforts to invest in human capital and train national talents. She highlighted that the academy will serve as a specialized platform delivering advanced professional programs tailored to the labor market needs and Qatar's development priorities.

Eng. Al Naama further explained that the academy will offer specialized training tracks that blend theoretical knowledge with practical application. This approach is designed to help engineers enhance their technical, leadership, and managerial skills, enabling them to contribute effectively to major national projects and adapt to the digital and technological transformation within the engineering sector.

The academy's training plan will cover a wide range of diplomas and professional tracks, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), 3D Printing, Project Management, Asset and Facility Management, Sustainability and Green Engineering, Artificial Intelligence in engineering, and advanced technical programs related to smart systems and digital transformation.

Moreover, the academy plans to establish partnerships with academic institutions, professional organizations, and specialized training providers both locally and internationally. The goal is to deliver training programs of the highest quality, based on global best practices and standards.
