Doha:The State of Qatar is actively participating in the Fourth Gulf Housing Week and the Innovation Conference and Exhibition in the Social Housing Sector 2026, which began on Tuesday at the International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
According to Qatar News Agency, Fahad Mohammed Al Khayarin, Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at Qatar's Ministry of Social Development and Family, is representing Qatar. He participated in a panel discussion focused on resilience and integration, discussing innovative frameworks for the future of national housing alongside officials from other GCC nations.
The panel addressed new trends in housing system development, emphasizing the importance of resilience, innovation, and integration in formulating housing policies and services. It also served as a platform for exchanging experiences and expertise among Gulf countries in this sector.
The first day featured the opening of the conference and an exhibition showcasing the latest innovations and solutions in social housing. Pavilions from GCC countries, including Qatar's, displayed their experiences and achievements in the housing sector and related services.
Qatar's participation underscores its commitment to enhancing Gulf cooperation and integration within the housing sector. This initiative aims to share expertise and experiences among GCC states to improve housing systems and services, ultimately benefiting the quality of life for citizens.
