Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has announced the latest deposit rates for various currencies, which were issued on Tuesday. The new rates affect several currencies, including USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD, with varying rates for different deposit tenures.
According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for USD start at 3.84292% for a 1-month term and decrease to 3.50606% for a 12-month term. The JPY rates begin at 0.40000% for both 1-month and 2-month terms, rising to 0.88000% for a 12-month period. For CHF, the rates are negative, starting at -0.30000% for a 1-month term and slightly increasing to -0.09000% for a 12-month term. GBP rates show a more significant fluctuation, beginning at 3.82000% for a 1-month term and peaking at 3.98000% for a 12-month period.
For Qatari Riyal (QAR), the rates start at 4.33333% for a 1-month term and decrease progressively to 3.83333% for a 12-month term. Similarly, SAR rates start at 4.75000% for a 1-month term and stabilize at 4.55000% from the 2-month to the 12-month terms. AED rates begin at 2.05000% for a 1-month term and increase to 3.15000% for a 12-month term. Lastly, BHD rates start at 4.50000% for a 1-month term and decrease to 4.00000% for a 12-month term.
These deposit rates reflect the current economic conditions and are subject to change based on market dynamics and Qatar National Bank’s financial strategies.
