Qatar National Bank Releases New Deposit Rates for Multiple Currencies

Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has announced the latest deposit rates for various currencies as of Sunday. The rates reflect the interest offered by QNB for different time periods ranging from one month to twelve months, across several major international and regional currencies.

According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for the US Dollar (USD) start at 4.16340% for a one-month term and decrease to 3.68525% for a twelve-month term. The Japanese Yen (JPY) begins at 0.25000% for one month, rising to 0.75000% for a twelve-month term. For the Swiss Franc (CHF), the rates start at -0.20000% for one month and adjust slightly to -0.07000% over a year. The British Pound (GBP) rates vary, starting from 3.95000% for one month and slightly increasing to 4.18000% for twelve months.

In terms of regional currencies, the Qatari Riyal (QAR) maintains a rate of 4.60000% for a one-month deposit, which gradually decreases to 4.00000% for a twelve-month term. The Saudi Riyal (SAR) has consistent rates of 5.00000% for one and three months, with a slight decrease to 4.95000% for a twelve-month term. The United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED) offers a starting rate of 2.05000% for one month, increasing to 3.15000% for twelve months. Lastly, the Bahraini Dinar (BHD) offers a one-month rate of 5.10000%, which decreases to 4.53000% for a twelve-month period.

These rates provide insight into the current financial environment and QNB’s strategy for attracting deposits in various currencies over different time horizons.
