Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) announced the latest deposit rates for various currencies effective from Monday. According to the new rates, the bank has set specific interest rates for different tenures across multiple currencies, including USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD.
According to Qatar News Agency, for deposits in USD, the interest rates are as follows: 1-month deposits are set at 3.67127%, 2-month at 3.66154%, 3-month at 3.65180%, 6-month at 3.59184%, and 12-month at 3.44488%. Meanwhile, the JPY deposit rates start at 0.55000% for 1-month and increase to 0.95000% for a 12-month deposit. The CHF rates are negative for shorter tenures, starting at -0.29000% for 1-month and reaching 0.04000% for 12-month deposits.
For the GBP, the interest rates begin at 3.64000% for a 1-month deposit, peaking at 3.88000% for a 12-month deposit. In terms of local currency, QAR deposit rates start at 4.08500% for 1-month and decrease to 3.75000% for a 12-month deposit. SAR deposit rates remain constant at 4.30000% from 2-month through 12-month tenures.
Depositors using AED will find the rates starting at 2.05000% for a 1-month deposit, increasing to 3.15000% for a 12-month deposit. Lastly, BHD deposit rates start at 4.50000% for a 1-month deposit, decreasing to 4.10000% for a 12-month deposit.
