Qatar National Bank Issues Updated Deposit Rates Across Multiple Currencies

Doha: Deposit rates at opening as issued on Thursday by Qatar National Bank (QNB) have been released, detailing the rates for various currencies including USD, JPY, CHF, and GBP, as well as QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD.

According to Qatar News Agency, the rates for the USD show an increase with longer deposit terms, starting from 3.65178 for 1 month, and rising to 4.04175 for 12 months. The JPY remains steady at 0.90000 for the 1 and 2-month terms, with a slight increase to 0.95000 for the 3 and 6-month terms, and further to 1.28000 for 12 months.

The CHF shows a negative rate of -0.05000 for 1, 2, and 3 months, turning positive at 0.02000 for 6 months, and reaching 0.15000 for a 12-month term. For the GBP, deposit rates start at 3.66000 for 1 month, with a notable jump to 4.35000 for 12 months.

In local and regional currencies, the QAR rates open at 4.06670 for 1 month and slightly decrease to 3.95000 for a 12-month term. The SAR maintains a consistent rate of 4.30000 for terms from 2 to 12 months. AED rates begin at 2.05000 for a 1-month deposit and increase to 3.15000 for a year-long deposit. Lastly, BHD rates start at 4.60000 for 1 month and increase to 4.80000 for 12 months.
