According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for major currencies show varied interest rates for different terms. For the US dollar (USD), the rates start at 4.03693% for a 1-month deposit and gradually decrease to 3.50554% for a 12-month deposit. The Japanese yen (JPY) maintains a stable rate of 0.40000% for 1-month and 2-month deposits, with a slight increase to 0.75000% for 12 months.
The Swiss franc (CHF) exhibits negative deposit rates, beginning at -0.19000% for a 1-month term and slightly improving to -0.02000% for a 12-month term. The British pound (GBP) shows rates starting at 4.00000% for 1 month, with minor fluctuations, reaching 4.02000% for a 12-month deposit.
For regional currencies, the Qatari riyal (QAR) offers a 1-month deposit rate of 4.60000%, decreasing to 4.10000% for a 12-month term. The Saudi riyal (SAR) starts at 5.00000% for a 1-month deposit and drops to 4.55000% for 12 months. The United Arab Emirates dirham (AED) begins with a 1-month rate of 2.05000%, increasing to 3.15000% for a 12-month deposit. The Bahraini dinar (BHD) maintains a consistent rate of 4.75000% for terms up to 6 months, with a slight decrease to 4.25000% for a 12-month deposit.
