Qatar Joins 38th GCC Drug Control Agencies Meeting

Riyadh: The State of Qatar participated in the 38th meeting of the Committee of Directors of Drug Control Agencies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which took place at the GCC General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh. This meeting was part of the activities scheduled for the Gulf Anti-Drug Week.

According to Qatar News Agency, the delegation from Qatar's Ministry of Interior was led by Assistant Director General of Drug Enforcement, Colonel Tareq Ali Al Faraheid Al Maliki. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation and improving joint coordination among the GCC member states in their efforts to combat drug-related crimes. The discussions also covered exchanging expertise and developing both preventive and security strategies against drug offenses across the region.
