The newspaper noted Qatar's support for religious institutions, Islamic centers, educational establishments, and civil society organizations in fostering a culture of coexistence and combating discrimination and hate.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Sharq highlighted that this approach reflects Qatar's longstanding diplomatic philosophy, rooted in dialogue among civilizations and fostering closer ties between peoples. The country views cultural and religious diversity as a source of understanding and cooperation rather than conflict and division. Qatar is committed to strengthening international partnerships and exchanging expertise to combat hate speech while promoting a culture of peace and mutual respect.
The newspaper underscored Qatar's emphasis on empowering young people and engaging them in initiatives that promote dialogue and tolerance. It stressed the role of educational institutions in instilling the values of citizenship and coexistence, preparing future generations to embrace diversity and engage constructively with different cultures. Meanwhile, The Peninsula, in its editorial titled "Investing in Summer Vacation," praised the Ministry of Education and Higher Education's 2026 Summer Student Activities Program. The program serves as a reminder that learning should extend beyond the classroom, with structured summer programs becoming an essential component of modern education. More than 950 students participated in over 500 activities across five government school centers, engaging in educational, cultural, technological, and recreational experiences.
The Peninsula noted that the program offered activities in science, technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, sustainability, arts, sports, communication skills, and Islamic education, allowing students to discover new interests and develop talents. The newspaper reported that Israeli military operations have intensified across southern Lebanon, with airstrikes, incendiary phosphorus munitions, and the demolition of structures in several towns. Al-Watan stated that the attacks since March have resulted in significant casualties, highlighting Israel's failure to honor the agreement and the responsibility of the United States to ensure its implementation.
