Doha: Qatar's Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has held a workshop with Qatari Diar to strengthen coordination on environmental assessment and permitting procedures for development projects. The workshop was organized by the ministry's Environmental Assessment and Permits Department and aimed to support sustainable urban development by bringing together officials and specialists from both organizations.

According to Qatar News Agency, the session was designed to raise awareness of the environmental requirements governing development projects and to explain the procedures for obtaining environmental assessments and permits. The focus was on promoting the protection of natural resources and sustainable development. Officials outlined the department's role in developing and implementing environmental standards for projects and facilities, overseeing environmental impact assessments, reviewing environmental studies, and issuing the permits and approvals required for development projects.
