Doha:The State of Qatar participated in the 24th Meeting of Prosecutors General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States, held in the Russian Federation through videoconference.

According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar was represented by Public Prosecutor Mohammed Rashid Al Binali, head of the Technical Office, and several members of the Public Prosecution.

The meeting's agenda included discussions on the regulation and supervision by prosecution authorities concerning the protection of minors' rights and interests. It also focused on enhancing coordination and cooperation between prosecution authorities, government bodies, educational institutions, and other entities to prevent minors from engaging in unlawful activities.

Further discussions involved developing international cooperation among SCO member states to protect minors from harmful information and counter their involvement in unlawful activities, including recruitment into destructive and extremist movements.
