Qatar Engages in Key ICAO Meetings on Aviation Safety and Air Navigation

Cairo: The State of Qatar, represented by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), took part in the 23rd meeting of the Middle East Regional Air Navigation Planning and Implementation Group (MIDANPIRG/23) and the 13th meeting of the Regional Aviation Safety Group in the Middle East (RASG-MID/13). These meetings were held in Cairo from June 14 to 18.

According to Qatar News Agency, representatives from member states of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), technical experts from civil aviation authorities, international organizations, and key regional industry stakeholders gathered at the meetings. The discussions aimed at accelerating regional cooperation, optimizing air navigation planning, and aligning regional implementation priorities with ICAO's global strategic objectives.

In addition to these topics, delegations reviewed operational frameworks intended to enhance efficiency, strengthen security protocols, and promote long-term sustainability within the air transport sector. The dual forums provided a platform for exchanging institutional expertise, addressing current regional challenges, and identifying global best practices. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to upgrade the Middle East's aviation ecosystem.
