Doha:Qatari daily Al-Arab highlighted the growing impact of Qatar's charitable and humanitarian sector, emphasizing Qatar Charity as a prominent example. The newspaper noted the charity's initiatives have benefited millions of people in Qatar and abroad.
According to Qatar News Agency, the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) recognized Qatar Charity for the contributions of its Alaqraboun Center in developing housing solutions for families in Qatar. The center's efforts in promoting family and community stability through its initiatives and projects were also acknowledged.
The recognition also honored the center's contributions to supporting housing for low-income families, with assistance exceeding QR11 million. Al-Arab emphasized the importance of partnership and coordination among government bodies, civil society organizations, and other non-governmental entities in strengthening family and social stability, and advancing sustainable development goals.
In another editorial, Al-Raya focused on Qatar's education sector, highlighting the transformation toward a more integrated educational experience. This shift aims to improve learning outcomes, support families, reinforce national identity, and foster innovation. The newspaper detailed efforts in the private education sector to enhance the educational experience, alongside the development of more than 30 policies and guidelines.
Al-Raya also pointed to social responsibility as a key part of Qatar's education strategy, with initiatives providing over 18,000 free, discounted, or voucher-supported places. These efforts aim to ease the burden on families and widen access to education, contributing to sustainable institutional quality.
English-language The Peninsula emphasized Qatar's rise in the Global Innovation Index, reflecting a transformation in the national economy's structure. Strategic investments in infrastructure, education, scientific research, and digital connectivity have strengthened Qatar's knowledge- and innovation-based economy.
The Peninsula noted Qatar's 23-place rise in the index since 2020, highlighting progress in areas such as Market Sophistication and Business Sophistication. The newspaper stressed the need for Qatar to turn this momentum into globally competitive products and technologies, establishing innovation as a key driver of economic diversification and competitiveness in support of Qatar National Vision 2030.
