Qatar Charity Partners with Tunisian Institute for Cataract Surgeries

Tunis:Qatar Charity's office in Tunisia has signed a cooperation agreement with the Hedi Rais Institute of Ophthalmology in Tunis to carry out cataract surgeries for 100 beneficiaries. This initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance the health sector and provide access to specialized medical services.

According to Qatar News Agency, the agreement was formalized at the institute in the presence of Qatar's Ambassador to Tunisia, Zayed bin Saeed Al Khayareen, and Ibrahim Abdulrahman Al Janahi, Director of Development Operations at Qatar Charity.

Ambassador Zayed bin Saeed Al Khayareen noted that the agreement underscores Qatar's ongoing commitment to supporting Tunisia and improving health services for its citizens.

Ibrahim Abdulrahman Al Janahi highlighted that this initiative is part of Qatar Charity's continuous health programs in several countries. These programs involve specialized medical interventions, including heart surgeries and catheterization, in partnership with official health institutions in the recipient countries.

Dr. Rim Faqih, Director of the Hedi Raies Institute of Ophthalmology, expressed that the agreement will enhance the institute's services and reduce the financial burden on patients who are unable to afford surgical treatments.
