Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani has discussed bilateral ties and the latest regional developments with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah. During a phone conversation, the two ministers took stock of diplomatic efforts and coordination to reduce tensions and bolster regional security.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the need for all parties to engage in dialogue and diplomacy and to implement the US-Iran memorandum of understanding. This includes ensuring freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, which is crucial for safeguarding regional security, preserving recent gains, and strengthening stability.

HE Sheikh Mohammed also reaffirmed Doha's support for efforts to ease tensions and reach a comprehensive agreement that would deliver lasting peace in the region.
