Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani has engaged in a phone conversation with HH Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud. The discussion revolved around bilateral relations and regional developments.
According to Qatar News Agency, the primary focus of the talks was to explore avenues for enhancing cooperation between Doha and Riyadh. The conversation also touched upon the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts and joint coordination aimed at reducing tensions and promoting security and stability in the region.
HE Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the significance of all parties committing to diplomacy and implementing the agreements outlined in the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. He underscored the need to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, protect regional security, safeguard progress, and support broader stability.
His Excellency reaffirmed Doha's complete support for initiatives to de-escalate tensions and achieve a comprehensive agreement that would ensure lasting peace in the region.
